State Senator Perry Clark is concerned about a report by the Kentucky Association of Food Banks that shows the state’s pantries have seen an 85 percent increase in the number of people they’re serving since 2006. The Louisville Democrat says, at the same time, the organization is indicating many of those programs are in financial trouble…

Clark says he hopes the Kentucky legislature next year can appropriate half a million dollars for the State Department of Agriculture’s Farms to Food Banks Trust Fund.
