A family fun and fundraising festival in Olive Hill is coming up in October

Olive Hill Welcome Center

Olive Hill Trail Town Inc. is sponsoring the 8th annual It’s Fall Y’all Vendor and Craft Fair, on October 5. Organizers said the festival is a place where local vendors and artisans can set up and fundraise for the community. Lisa Conley is Director of the Olive Hill Welcome Center and member of the Olive Hill Trail Town Board. Conley said some events and vendors being offered include, family calling, hay bale toss, hay bale flip, local crafts, and a large selection of food.

Conley said space is not an issue for anyone interested in being a vendor.

“We’ve had no trouble with vendors being able to fit their canopies in there. We don’t supply anything besides the space, and the electric, if they need that. So, we tell them to be prepared for anything. And to be sure to bring something if they have a canopy, make sure they bring something to anchor that canopy down,” said Conley.

Conley added that because the event is set up for fundraising, certain vendors are not allowed.

“What’s unique about us is we do not allow food trucks, this event was actually created to allow nonprofits, church organizations, and school organizations, to fundraise. So, we don’t allow food trucks at all,” said Conley.

Conley said while they have spaces with and without electricity, the electric spaces are very limited. She said interested vendors can register online by visiting Olive Hill Trail Town on Facebook. Olive Hill’s It’s Fall Yall festival will take place at the Olive Hill Welcome Center, on Railroad Street, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
