Construction on KY 826 will require temporary flagged traffic at Cave Run Lake near the Bath-Rowan county line.
Beginning Friday, April 7, contractors will remove guardrail and begin deep pavement repairs on KY 826 in the Stony Cove Road area (milepoint 3.2) near the spillway. Motorists should watch for flagged traffic during daytime work hours, approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., over the next two to three weeks.
The work is being done by Walker Construction and Materials, LLC, under a $102,636 low-bid contract awarded by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Road work schedules may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
