Freshman forward Angela Black claimed a pair of weekly honors following her performance in a 5-2 victory over Southeast Missouri on Sunday (October 13).
For her efforts, Black was named adidas OVC Co-Offensive Player of the Week and College Sports Madness OVC Player of the Week.
Black scored her first collegiate goals 18 seconds apart, the second of which proved to be the match winner. Just 55 seconds later, the St. Louis native assisted on another goal, also her second of the season.
The five goals were the most for the Eagles since a 7-2 triumph over Austin Peay on October 30, 2011. MSU returns to action on Friday (October 18) at Austin Peay. The action is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
