TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Paving on KY 32 near I-64 begins this week in Rowan County

National Capital Industries

Motorists should expect traffic changes on KY 32 west of Morehead as contractors begin resurfacing operations this week on both sides of the I-64 interchange.

By Wednesday night, July 24, paving will begin on KY 32 between the Fairview Drive/Guardian Avenue area and I-64 off ramps. Work will take place at night to lessen impacts on traffic. Motorists should expect lane closures, one-lane traffic and possible flagged traffic for several days.

After work is complete on that section of KY 32, paving will follow on KY 32 between Forest Hills Drive and Pine Ridge Drive on the Morehead side of the interstate. Again, motorists should expect lane closures and intermittent flagged traffic.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow-down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
