Talking Turkey On “Kentucky Afield” Television’s Call-In Show

Daily Gazette

Turkey hunters will not want to miss the next installment of “Kentucky Afield” television.

With the youth and general spring turkey seasons fast approaching, hunters can submit questions before and during a special one-hour “Kentucky Afield” call-in show that airs live at 8:30 p.m. (Eastern) Saturday, March 23 on Kentucky Educational Television (KET).

An expert panel led by “Kentucky Afield” host Chad Miles will answer hunters’ questions. Joining Miles in the studio will be Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources wild turkey program coordinator Zak Danks and Sgt. Rufus Cravens of the department’s Law Enforcement Division.

Questions can be submitted online through the “Kentucky Afield” Facebook page and on Saturday by calling the number displayed at the start of the call-in show.

This year, Kentucky’s youth-only season is the weekend of April 6-7. The start of the 23-day general statewide season is April 13 and the season continues through May 5.

For more information about turkey and other spring hunting seasons, check out the Kentucky Spring Hunting Guide.

It is available online at http://fw.ky.gov and at license vendors across the state.
