Baker received his medical degree from the Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville. He completed his residency through the University of Kentucky (UK) Family Community Medicine Residency Program, serving patients for two years at the UK Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and most recently at St. Claire Regional Family Medicine in Morehead.
Baker was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky and says he has always desired to provide care for the people of the community he grew up in. “Working in family medicine gives me the opportunity to take care of people of all ages and to become a part of their lives,” Baker says. “To me, that’s the heart of medicine.”
Baker and his wife, Lauren, have two wonderful children, Waylon and Emmaline. Baker’s hobbies include spending time outdoors, going to concerts and reading.
