Special election to be held Tuesday

Officials in Morehead are gearing up for a special election on February 25^th. 

Residents of Elliott, Lewis and Rowan counties will be choosing a replacement for Rocky Adkins, who served in the 99^th House District for decades before being appointed as a Senior Advisor to Governor Andy Beshear.

Rowan County Clerk Elwood Caudill, Jr. says officials are expecting a 10-percent voter turnout in all three counties.

Democrat Bill Redwine and Republican Richard White are both vying for the House Seat.  The election will cost Rowan County approximately $35-thousand dollars.
