Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Achievement Award for Fall 2019

MSU Athletics

The Morehead State Soccer team has been awarded for its performance in the classroom during the fall 2019 semester, receiving the Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches.

For a team to be considered for the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, it must have a composite team grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for all team members who appear on the official NCAA roster.

The Eagles turned in a composite team GPA of 3.5 in the fall.

"I'm very proud of our team for their work both in the classroom and on the field," said MSU head coach Warren Lipka. "Being a student-athlete is not an easy task, anytime a team can be recognized for its accomplishments inside the classroom it's a big deal. I'm just so proud of our ladies."

Senior Ellie Weber, Junior Katie Kiolbosa, junior Lauryn Kunz, junior Holly Logsdon, sophomore Nicole Palmer, sophomore Colleen Swift, and freshman Katelyn Setters turned in 4.0 GPAs during the fall semester.
