The Morehead State University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is set for its Small Town Merchant Program at Mt. Sterling on September 6th.
National retail specialist Marc Willson will be featured at the event. Willson will be giving advice to local business owners on how things such as window displays and overall presentation can impact their success.
Mark Murphy is with the SBDC, and he says Willson will be visiting local businesses himself to provide critiques.
“After we do the presentation, businesses will be able to schedule a walk through and actually go out to some of the businesses, to be able to give his opinion. Kind of a first look, first glance…show them a few things they are doing right and doing wrong.” --Mark Murphy
The event is free and will include a breakfast. It will take place at the MSU Center in Mt. Sterling from 8a.m. to 10 a.m. on September 6th. Anyone interested in attending should call 606-783-2895. Deadline for registration is September 2nd.
