Rowan County Clerk’s Office Update

The Rowan County Clerk's office will be closed to the public beginning, Tuesday March, 17 and will remain closed until further notice.

Staff will continue to process mail, online transactions, drop offs and prepare for the Primary election on June 23rd,  2020.

Automobile Registration and Title Transfers

Renewals' can be placed in drop off box and mailed to address provided. Online renewal is available for most vehicles at http://drive.ky.gov

Mail-in registration renewals along with proof of insurance and payment may be mailed  to:

Dealer work will be available on a drop off basis. Please call ahead to ensure your paperwork is complete. Transfers will be suspended until further notice.

Elections and Voter Registration

The election staff will continue to prepare for the June 23rd primary election.

Voters may continue to register to vote or update their addresses by submitting a new   registration form online at http://www.govoteky.com until 4:00 p.m. on May 25th. Registrations by mail must be postmarked by May 26th.

Voters who qualify to absentee vote by mail may call the elections department at (606)-784- 5212.

Permanent Records and Real Estate

Reconciling may be mailed or left in a mail receptacle in the Courthouse Lobby. Copies of records may be obtained by mail or fax. Please call (606)784-5212.

Notary Licenses

Notary oath and bonding are suspended until further notice.

Paul Hitchcock earned his Masters in Communications from Morehead State University and Bachelors in Radio-TV/Psychology from Georgetown College. A veteran broadcaster for more than 40 years and an avid fan of blues, jazz and American roots music. Hitchcock has been with WMKY since 1986 and was named General Manager in 2003. He currently hosts "Muddy Bottom Blues" (Fri., 8pm-9pm), "Nothin' But The Blues" (Sat., 8pm-12am), "Sunday Night Jazz Showcase" and "Live From The Jazz Lounge" (Sun., 8pm-9pm) and "The Golden Age of Radio" (Sun., 2pm-3pm). He also serves as producer for "A Time For Tales" and "The Reader's Notebook."
