Repairs Under Way at I-64 Overpass on KY 32 at Morehead in Rowan County

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet

Repairs to the I-64 overpass on KY 32 in Rowan County will require daily lane closures on the Morehead connector over the next few weeks.

Beginning today, contractors will reduce westbound KY 32 (outbound from downtown Morehead) to one lane at the I-64 overpass for concrete patching of bridge piers. The right lane of KY 32 will be closed about 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day just past Fraley Drive. Interstate on and off ramps will not be affected. Motorists should slow down, merge left, and plan ahead for traffic delays – especially during rush hour or times of heavy traffic.

Once work on the westbound side of the overpass is complete, contractors will move to the KY 32 eastbound side and the right lane of KY 32 will be closed daily for Morehead-bound traffic.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow-down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
