Residents of Morgan County are invited to attend a public informational meeting to discuss a project to improve KY 7 north of West Liberty.
The meeting will be held Tuesday, September 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the West Liberty City Hall. It will be an “open house” format meeting with no formal presentation.
Representatives from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and project consultants will be available to answer questions and provide information about the project. Handouts will be available describing the project’s purpose and need, the right-of-way acquisition process and potential utility relocation concerns.
A project is under consideration to reconstruct KY 7 from the KY 519 intersection to the beginning of the new segment at the south end of Wrigley Hill. The project would straighten and widen the alignment of the roadway, as well as improve geometrics and sight distance at the KY 1161 intersection.
