Pine Mountain SRP to Host Great American Dulcimer Convention

The Great American Dulcimer Convention will celebrate its 40th anniversary Sept. 23-24 at Pine Mountain State Resort Park in Pineville.

The talent will include Anne MacFie, Heidi Muller, Ted Yoder, Nancy Barker and Josh Noe, February Sky, and Miller, Miller and Meyer. Concerts wills be offered on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The concert fee is $10 per person. Free workshops will be offered during the day Saturday.

Pine Mountain is offering an overnight package for two that includes lodging for two nights, both concerts and a Saturday evening wild game buffet for $262.02 plus tax. (Cost is $210.97 for one.)

The park has a 30-room lodge, cottages and a full-service restaurant. It also has a golf course and other recreational opportunities for guests. Pine Mountain State Resort Park is located south of Pineville, on U.S. 25E, 10 miles north of Middlesboro.

Paul Hitchcock earned his Masters in Communications from Morehead State University and Bachelors in Radio-TV/Psychology from Georgetown College. He also serves as producer for "A Time For Tales" and "The Reader's Notebook."
