Paramount Arts Center To Spotlight Regional Music

The Tennessean

Ashland’s Highlands Museum and Discovery Center is starting a new program to emphasize the community’s heritage in Country and Bluegrass Music. Beginning in April, Director Carol Allen says the Highlands will open its doors one night each month for local musicians and their fans.

“On Thursday nights one night a month from 7 to 9, anyone can come to the museum. Admission will be very minimal, three dollars to help us pay our electric bill. You can either sit back and enjoy the musicians or you can pick and sing if you want to.” –Carol Allen

Allen says the first program will be April 3rd from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. Country music stars Billy Ray Cyrus and The Judds are among Ashland’s most prominent musicians.
