Olivia Lohmeier Earns Academic All-America Honor

Wrapping up an incredible indoor volleyball career with a plethora of off-the-court accolades as well, Volleyball grad student Olivia Lohmeier has added an Academic All-America honor to her list of awards.

Lohmeier was named Third-Team Academic All-America, as selected by CoSIDA. She is the sixth Eagle to ever be named Academic All-America and first since Emma Keough in 2011. It's also the 42nd all-time Academic All-America honor in MSU athletic history.

Lohmeier, who earned her bachelor's degree last year with a 3.89 cumulative grade point average in information systems, now also owns a perfect 4.0 GPA in her Master's Degree program, Engineering Technology.

One of the most decorated players in program history, she was recently named First-Team All-OVC for the fourth consecutive season and is also a two-time OVC Offensive Player of the Year and three-time VolleyMag.com All-American.

A Cincinnati, Ohio, native, Lohmeier was also been named the Computer Information Systems Student of the Year for MSU during her undergrad work and was one of the commencement speakers during graduation exercises in 2020.

She finished her indoor career with 1,989 kills, which is second place in Morehead State history and third place in OVC history.

Lohmeier will put the finishign touches on her playing career in the spring with one more season of beach volleyball.
