MSU Athletics

Morehead State rifle collected its second victory of the young season with a 4,569- 4,503 win over North Georgia at Button Rifle Range Saturday.

Sophomore Joe Fischer had a personal best in combined smallbore and air rifle. He fired a 575 in smallbore to lead all shooters, followed by a 574 in air rifle, for an individual aggregate score of 1,149. Fischer's total score led all shooters on the day.

Two Eagles made their collegiate lineup debuts in freshmen Siarra "CC" Crum and Melanie West. Crum fired a 572 and West posted a 571 in air rifle. The pair shot last week at VMI but scores did not count for the team total.

MSU heads to OVC rival Murray State on Sat., Oct. 24 for a battle of top-20 teams. Morehead State currently sits at No. 18, while the Racers have held the No. 5 position since the start of the season.
