Members of the freshman class of Morehead State University moved into their residence halls Thursday, Aug. 14, during “New Student Move-In Day.”

According enrollment services, a class of approximately 1,600 first-time freshman students will attend MSU in the fall 2014 term.

MSU also started a new tradition as it hosted the first New Student Induction Ceremony at the Academic-Athletic Center.

The goal of this event is to mark the official beginning of the new student’s academic career and welcome them to the MSU family.  Students received a Class of 2018 keepsake pin and recited the Eagle Promise.

Many activities are scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15-17, for students.
