To honor current and former members of the U.S. military, Morehead State will hold several events on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11.
The events are held in cooperation with Rowan County Schools and the Rowan County Veterans Foundation.
Activities will begin with a wreath-laying ceremony at 11 a.m. at Freedom Park on Main Street in Morehead, in front of the Rowan County Arts Center.
Veterans will be treated to lunch at 11:30 a.m. in Ballroom A/B of the Adron Doran University Center (ADUC).
The day’s events will conclude with a special Veterans Day program, held at 1:30 p.m. at Rowan County Senior High School.
“MSU is committed to honoring the faithful service of veterans of the Armed Forces, past, present, and future along with their families,” said Dr. Silas Session, MSU director of military initiatives. “This is a great time for our humble veteran students and military dependent students to allow the community to show their appreciation for them along with faculty, staff and surrounding community veterans.”
