Morehead State sophomore Anna Appert Lund has been named adidas Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the period of October 16-22. It is her third weekly honor this season and the fifth of her career.

Appert Lund, a native of Bromma, Sweden, carded a 69-70-70--209 at the recent MTSU Blue Raider Invitational to claim medalist honors in the 85-golfer field. MSU posted a 304-295-305--904 in Murfreesboro, Tenn., to finish fourth out of 15 schools.

Southern Illinois won the tournament with an 897. Middle Tennessee was just one shot back of the winner, while Lamar was five. MSU placed ahead of Jacksonville State (907), Murray State (916), Tennessee Tech (917), Belmont (931) and Austin Peay (956).

Appert Lund finishes the fall campaign with a team-best 72.9 stroke average, which ranks second in the league. The reigning OVC Golfer and Freshman of the Year owns four top-10 performances in 2013-14 and 10 in her two-year career with the Eagles.

Morehead State's fall campaign is now complete. The Eagles are scheduled to play their first of six spring tournaments March 10-11 at the North Florida Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla. The 54-hole event will be played at the Jacksonville Country Club.
