MSPR Spring Fundraiser - $6,000 challenge is on!

Today’s the day…..to support MSPR’s Spring Fundraiser and Membership Drive.

A longtime and generous listener has issued a matching challenge gift of $6,000 in support of local news, classical music and the educational opportunities for students. Every dollar we receive today until 7:00PM will be matched up to $6,000!

All gifts apply towards the challenge (phone, online, mail, walk-in) and all gifts count as a WMKY membership, helping WMKY apply for grant funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

Your gift today helps cover expenses for student work-study opportunities:

$6,000 supports 6 student work-studies a semester (8 hrs/wk)

$6,000 pays 3 ½ months of WMKY’s transmitter electricity

$6,000 pays 4 months of “Morning Edition” (NPR)

$6,000 pays 9 months of “All Things Considered” (NPR)

$6,000 pays 1 year of “The World” (PRI/PRX)

$6,000 nearly covers Associated Press (AP) yearly membership

We’re counting on you today to call WMKY with your tax-deducible gift at 606-783-2001 or use the simple and secure pledge and gift forms online at http://www.wmky.org

Thanks so much!
