Morehead Theatre Guild presents "Savannah Sipping Society", Aug. 24 performance to benefit WMKY

Morehead Theatre Guild

The Morehead Theatre Guild’s current production is the hilarious comedy, “The Savannah Sipping Society.”

Directed by George McKee, the play stars Sara Lindsey, Krys Lynam, Diana Reeder and Kim Shannon in leading roles.

Written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, the play is being produced by agreement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.

Performances at the Rowan County Arts Center are this Friday and Saturday (August 23-24) at 7:30pm, Sunday (August 25) at 2:00pm. Tickets are $11 for adults and $5 for students. Not recommended for children under age 8.

In this lively, sidesplitting comedy, four unique women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by fate and find friendship, hope and healing in places where they least expect it. At an impromptu happy hour, they decide it's high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they've lost throughout the years. In discovering lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment, they realize it's never too late to make new old friends.

Tickets are now on sale at the Rowan County Arts Center and online at http://www.moreheadtheatre.org

Or you may call 606-783-9857 to reserve your tickets.

Proceeds from the Saturday, August 24 performance will benefit Morehead State Public Radio, WMKY.
