Morehead State launches Commitment to the Commonwealth

Morehead State University

Morehead State University announced the “Commitment to the Commonwealth” initiative on Friday.

Nearly 85% of the students MSU serves are Kentuckians and many alumni have stayed to work and live in Kentucky.

The University plans to freeze tuition and fees for the next academic year and waive the standardized test scores for general admission for the 2020 fall semester.

In addition, online classes in the summer and fall will be offered in a variety of formats.  Finally, graduate tuition will be reduced by nearly $200 per credit hour in the Volgenau College of Education.

"Morehead State University takes great pride in its more than 130-year history of serving our region, the Commonwealth, and beyond,” said MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan. “We recognize that these times are unprecedented and challenging for all of us, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing affordable access to high quality academic programs.”
