The following message provided by the Morehead-Rowan County Chamber of Commerce:

During the Governor Andy Beshear’s 5PM press conference Sunday evening (March 22) issuing Executive Order; that all non-essential retail to close by 8PM on Monday March 23, 2020 to further limit the spread of the virus.

Below is a breakdown of the businesses by category outlined in the Executive Order;

Yes – Remain Open

No – Close by 8PM March 23, 2020 to in person shopping.

Furniture and Home Furnishings - No

Electronics and Appliance Stores - No

Building Materials, Garden Equipment, and Supplies Dealers - Yes

Banks, Credit Unions, Check Cashing, Wire Transfer, other Financial Services - Yes

Motor Vehicle and Parts Dealers

Automobile Dealers - No

Automotive Parts, repair, Accessories, and Tire Stores - Yes

Auto, Truck, and Van Rentals - Yes

Food and Beverage Stores

Grocery Stores - Yes

Paul Hitchcock earned his Masters in Communications from Morehead State University and Bachelors in Radio-TV/Psychology from Georgetown College. A veteran broadcaster for more than 40 years and an avid fan of blues, jazz and American roots music. Hitchcock has been with WMKY since 1986 and was named General Manager in 2003. He currently hosts "Muddy Bottom Blues" (Fri., 8pm-9pm), "Nothin' But The Blues" (Sat., 8pm-12am), "Sunday Night Jazz Showcase" and "Live From The Jazz Lounge" (Sun., 8pm-9pm) and "The Golden Age of Radio" (Sun., 2pm-3pm). He also serves as producer for "A Time For Tales" and "The Reader's Notebook."
