The Morehead City Council will discuss local business relief efforts during their special called meeting Thursday.
Like most government entities in the state, Morehead is looking at sustaining both businesses and services through a global pandemic.
The Council will discuss putting city funds into a grant fund for local small businesses…an idea Mayor Laura White Brown says isn’t necessary since the small business association is giving billions of dollars in forgivable disaster loans to small businesses nationwide.
Brown says the city’s priority at this time should be making sure essential services can continue.
The special called meeting will be held via ZOOM, and streamed live on the city’s Facebook page at noon Thursday.
