Lexington To Celebrate 20 Years Of Fairness

It’s been almost twenty years since the city of Lexington adopted a Fairness Ordinance and to celebrate the milestone the Lexington History Museum is holding a series of events.  “Our Fair City” commemorates twenty years of Fairness in Lexington, and includes an interactive exhibit in the downtown public library.

The anniversary exhibit opens to the public on Monday June 17th.  The history museum is also hosting a pair of related panel discussions in the library’s Farish Theater:  “We Were There” featuring the major players in the effort to pass the ordinance takes place Sunday June 23rd and “Where We Are Now” focusing on the successes and challenges of the ordinance happens on Sunday July 7th
