The new director of Morehead’s Parks and Recreation Department says it shouldn’t be much longer until recreational activities in the Laughlin Health Building are in full swing.
The City and County are leasing the building from Morehead State University as part of a new recreation partnership.
Matt Hamilton made the comments during the most recent meeting of the Morehead City Council. He says they are waiting on a few more installations, but as of right now, he’s expecting a July move-in date.
Once open, Hamilton says Laughlin will feature basketball courts, volleyball, batting cages and party rooms, among other activities.
