KCTCS Announces New Vice President

  Dr. Larry Ferguson has been named vice president of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). He will oversee advancement, grants and contracts and alumni affairs. He also will serve as the executive director of the KCTCS Foundation.  

A former KCTCS vice chancellor for Economic Development and Workforce Solutions, Ferguson has been serving as president of Bevill State Community College in Jasper, Alabama. He also has served in leadership positions at Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC) and was an instructor there as well as the University of Charleston in Charleston, West Virginia.

Ferguson earned a doctorate of philosophy in educational leadership with a specialization in e-learning from Trident University. He earned a master of science degree in strategic leadership and a bachelor of science degree in organizational leadership, both from Mountain State University. Additionally, he earned an associate degree with a focus in communications from ACTC.

Ferguson will begin in his new role on March 16.
