Highlands Boy Scout Exhibit

The National Boy Scout Jamboree is taking place through Wednesday in Beckley, West Virginia and an Ashland, Kentucky museum is trying to tap into the excitement. Ashland is about a 2 hour drive from Beckley and the Highlands Museum and Discovery Center is hoping some of the scouts and their supporters make the trip to view a special exhibit.

Carole Allen is director of the Highlands…
"We have a display from the very first badges and other memorabilia, all the way up to the very latest. So there is something for everyone…and we're being well advertised throughout the Scouting community, so we're expecting some scouts to drop by..." - Carole Allen

Allen says the Ashland museum also has a collection of pictures Norman Rockwell painted for the Boy Scouts.
