“Heigh-Ho the Holly”, or “Oh Ho the Mistletoe”, which was written by Shakespeare? The first, in “Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind”.  Mediocre poetry sounds great on this cold January day, along with tips for treating coughs, grumpiness and life expectancy, fascinating findings from the state health rankings, and four-year-olds with cell phones.

Tip:  Guaifenesin and dextromethorphan are not proven to be effective for cough management, even if they are in most cough syrups. Try an older (drowsy) antihistamine with pseudoephedrine, or better yet try some hot thick liquids.
