Halloween Activities in Morehead

Morehead Parks and Recreation

Say Boo to Drugs will be missed this season, but 2020 will now serve as the inaugural year for two new Halloween activities in Morehead.

The City of Morehead’s Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a drive-thru pumpkin glow at the City Park on Halloween from 7:00pm-9:30pm.  Children and adults in the community are asked to carve pumpkins which will be lit up for display throughout the park that evening.

The City and County are also cooperating on a Halloween Decoration Contest.  Those wanting to participate must upload a photo of their home, window or business to https://www.rcky.us/halloween by midnight October 23rd.

Mayor Laura White-Brown says trick or treat is still set for the last day of the month, but participants will be doing so at their own discretion.

Photos from the decoration contest will be posted to social media at noon on the 24th-30th.  Individuals will vote for winners by liking their favorites, with winners and prizes being awarded at 4:30pm that Friday.
