Kentucky.gov

Gov. Matt Bevin has appointed Christopher E. Dickerson, of Green, as magistrate for the Fifth District of Elliott County. Dickerson’s appointment fills the vacancy left by the resignation of former Fifth District Magistrate Angela Porter.

Dickerson is the Secretary/Treasurer of JMAC Leasing and has served on the Mountain Telephone Board of Directors in West Liberty for 18 years. A lifetime resident of Elliott County, Dickerson is the proud father of Christopher Eugene II and Skylar Blake.

“I would like to thank Gov. Bevin for appointing me as magistrate and giving me the opportunity to serve the citizens of Elliott County,” said Dickerson. “This community is a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family. I look forward to working with all members of the community and other fiscal court members as we try and improve our county.”

Dickerson will serve until the position is filled in accordance with the results of the November 2019 general election, pursuant to the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution.
