Football Falls in Offensive Shootout to Dayton

MSU Athletics

In a contest that featured 1,037 total offensive yards combined by Morehead State and Dayton, the Eagle football team came up on the short end of a 49-35 contest to the Flyers at Jayne Stadium.

A 28-point first quarter by the Flyers was just too much to overcome by the Eagles, who fell to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the PFL. The Eagles finished with 509 yards of offense, the third game this season over the 500-yard plateau. But, a 268-yard rushing effort by the Flyers' Jake Chisolm catapulted his team to the road win.

Morehead State will look to even its PFL mark next Saturday at Valparaiso as the Crusaders will enter at just 1-8.
