Flood Warning Issued Through 7AM Monday, March 1

The National Weather Service in Jackson (KY) has extended a Flood Warning until 7:00AM (EST) on Monday, March 1, 2021.

A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for the following Kentucky counties:

Bath

Elliott

Estill

Fleming

Menifee

Montgomery

Morgan

Powell

Rowan

Wolfe

At approximately 10:05PM (EST) on Sunday, February 28, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and thunderstorms as they continue to be a threat for additional flooding. Ongoing flooding is ongoing over parts of the warned areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Take necessary action to protect yourself and others.
