A multiple vehicle accident in Rowan County Saturday claimed the life of a Jessamine County woman.
47-year old Betty Mullins of Nicholasville was traveling eastbound on Interstate-64 near the 143-mile marker when she drove her SUV off the road's shoulder, over corrected into the west bound lane of traffic and struck a tractor trailer driven by 52-year old Vicky Johnson of Silver Bay Minnesota, and then hitting a SUV operated by 41-year old Bart Taylor of Oakland, Illinois.
Mullins was pronounced dead at the scene by Rowan County Coronor John Northcutt.
Taylor and his passenger, 39-year old Glenna Taylor were transported to Saint Claire Regional Medical Center and later flown to UK medical center where they are listed in critical condition. Johnson did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
