Emergency road aid funds announced for Rowan, Bath, Elliott counties

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has announced that $141,645 in County Road Aid emergency funds has been awarded to Rowan, Bath and Elliott counties for local road repairs.

In Rowan County, funding of $32,805 was authorized in August for drainage structure repairs on Rifle Range Road just off KY 519 south of Clearfield.

In Elliott County, funding of $18,840 was authorized in August for a slide repair on Clayton Skaggs Road (CR 1306) at the 0.138 mile point.

In Bath County, funding of $90,000 was authorized in August for slide damage repairs on Hickey Road (CR 1313), Little Flat-Ledford Road (CR 1309), North Stepstone Way (CR 1219), and Sanderson Road (CR 1306).

"These emergency funds will help repair and restore damaged infrastructure throughout these communities,” said KYTC Secretary Greg Thomas.

The Fiscal Court in each county is responsible for administering the work on the projects.
