The Morehead State baseball program has announced multiple updates to its 2014 schedule. The moves are due to winter weather and unplayable field conditions in the state of Kentucky.
The Morehead State vs. Eastern Michigan series opener, originally scheduled for today (March 4) at Allen Field, has been canceled due to snow. A decision on Wednesday's contest on March 5 is expected to be made today.
The Ohio Valley Conference Eagles are off to a 5-6 start this year. The Mid-American Conference Eagles are 4-7 overall.
Morehead State has also re-scheduled its non-conference game at American Athletic Conference opponent Louisville. The Eagles and Cardinals will now meet at Patterson Stadium on Wednesday, April 23, at 6 p.m.
U of L has made College World Series appearances in two of the last seven seasons (2007, 2013). The Cardinals finished last year 51-14 overall, 20-4 in the Big East Conference and won the league's regular-season title.
