Downtown Morehead Cleanup Day is April 22

Topix

In celebration of Earth Day, Downtown Morehead, Inc. and the Morehead-Rowan County Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a community cleanup day on Friday, April 22.

The cleanup efforts will focus on Main Street, First Street and Second Street and include trash pickup, general cleaning and debris removal.

Any businesses on these streets may dispose of large items for free pick up that day, but will need to call in advance to schedule.

Businesses are also offered additional cleanup help with door painting, window cleaning, etc. This also must be scheduled in advance.

Members of the community are needed to volunteer to help with the cleanup. Volunteers will pick up trash and do cleanup. Garbage bags and gloves will be provided.

To volunteer or to schedule cleanup at your business, contact Tony Pence at 606-548-1073 or Tracy Williams at 606-784-6221.
