A Purdue University alum, Morgan DePlanty, ATC, has joined the Morehead State staff as assistant athletic trainer. She will work directly with the women's basketball program.
DePlanty recently earned her Master's Degree in athletic training from Illinois State, where she served as a graduate assistant in the sports medicine department working with the football and softball teams.
She assisted the staff in developing return to play programs for post-surgical injuries as well as working directly with the strength and conditioning staff on return to workout programs. She also provided athletic training coverage for summer camps.
DePlanty earned her bachelor's degree in athletic training from Purdue in 2017. She served as a student athletic trainer, working with the Boilermaker cross country, track and field, wrestling and football programs. DePlanty also worked with Wabash College and McCutcheon High School athletic teams.
She also served as an undergraduate teaching assistant at Purdue, for human anatomy and physiology courses.
DePlanty is a certified athletic trainer who is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
