Even with unorthodox competition and practice schedules for many programs, Morehead State student-athletes maintained academic excellence in the spring 2021 semester with a 3.16 department-wide GPA.
Among its student-athletes, 76 achieved perfect 4.0 GPAs during the spring. The football program led the way with 12 perfections, while baseball (10) and softball (9) followed close behind.
The women's golf program once again topped all teams in grades, garnering five 4.0s along with a team GPA of 3.72. Beach Volleyball (3.61), Volleyball (3.60) and women's cross country/track and field (3.50) followed closely in line.
With a plethora of awards already bestowed, student-athletes will still have the opportunity to earn a number of academic honors with the Pioneer Football League and Ohio Valley Conference Honor Rolls later this summer.
