Tip: According to researchers at Johns Hopkins, excess sodium in the diet is the number one factor related to mortality from heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Other important changes include increasing your intake of nuts and seeds, lowering your intake of processed meats, and eating more fruits and vegetables.
