US Senate Candidate Charles Booker spoke at CoffeeTree Books in Morehead Tuesday evening.

US Senate Candidate Charles Booker was in Morehead Tuesday night as part of his campaign against incumbent senator Rand Paul.

Booker spoke to a crowd of around 100 at CoffeeTree Books after spending the day campaigning at various stops throughout Northeast Kentucky. He explained he is focused on cutting through the status quo which has left communities in poverty, and not party lines.

Booker says the constitutional amendments on the ballot have a big impact on his campaign.

Booker says the amendments fly in the face of small government and are about controlling voters through government overreach into personal healthcare.
