St. Claire HealthCare to Hold Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Urgent Care Center

St. Claire HealthCare

St. Claire HealthCare (SCH) invites everyone to a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Urgent Care Center on Thursday, June 30 at 2 PM. The new facility will be located at 431 Hampton Way, just off I-64 and KY-32 in Morehead.

“This is one of many strategic investments St. Claire HealthCare is making in the community to ensure individuals across the region have access to the quality care they need, when and where they need it,” said Donald H. Lloyd, II, SCH President/CEO.

This project is a nearly $4 million capital investment that will employ 25-30 staff with an average annual wage of approximately $86,000.

In addition to urgent care, the 5,000 sq. ft. facility, will also be home to St. Claire’s new occupational medicine program which will support employers across the region with preventative care and treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses.

SCH began offering urgent care services earlier this year and has seen a tremendous response from the community.

“Illnesses and injuries don't wait for normal business hours. People need access to care when it's convenient for them, and that's what you get with Urgent Care ... quality healthcare, seven days a week,” said Mark Rhodes, VP, St. Claire Medical Group.

The Urgent Care Center is currently located at the SCH Outpatient Center at 1028 E. Main St., (just off US 60 East) while this new, state-of-the-art facility is under construction. Care is available Monday thru Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM, Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM, and Sundays from Noon to 4 PM.
