Morehead State began the public phase of its “Soar to New Heights” Scholarship Campaign, which addresses the University’s priorities of recruitment, retention and degree completion.
The goal is to raise $15 million in three years. Already the campaign has raised $23 million, with more than $11 million to fund scholarships.
Mindy Highley is the Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations & Development at MSU. She says the pandemic has made fundraising difficult, but the university has adapted.
As of June 30th, the campaign gathered over $1 million in annual scholarships, over $9 million in endowed scholarships, and 76 new scholarship funds have been created.
