Morehead State Men's Basketball, the 2022-23 Ohio Valley Conference regular-season champions, will travel to face Clemson Wednesday in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament - the Eagles' first-ever appearance in the NIT in program history.

The game is set for 7 p.m. ET Wednesday (March 15) at Clemson's Littlejohn Coliseum and will be carried on ESPN+ and the Eagle Sports Radio Network (WIVY-96.3 FM and MSUEagles.com). Ticket information will be available on Monday afternoon.

It will mark MSU's third-ever game against Clemson after just facing the Tigers at Clemson two seasons ago.

"This has been one of my favorite teams ever to coach, so just for us to be able to extend our season is special in its own right," said Head Coach Preston Spradlin. "And the fact we are being rewarded for our first OVC regular-season title in 39 years and first-ever NIT bid is all very special. We are excited to play a quality opponent in Clemson who we are somewhat familiar with, having played there two years ago. From what I know they are team a lot like us, they hang their hat on the defensive side of the ball. They share the ball and take quality shots, so it's going to be a fun matchup."

The NIT bid is the program's 12th all-time postseason bid. Clemson is seeded No. 1 in its region of the NIT. The winner will then take on either UAB or Southern Miss in the second round on March 18 or 19.
