Morehead State's beach volleyball team turned the tide on a previous loss to Austin Peay as the Eagles wrapped up the 2022 regular season by defeating the host Govs 3-2 Saturday at OVC Weekend. That came after falling 4-1 to Chattanooga to open the day.
Morehead State, which is hosting the OVC Tournament this week at Fazoli's Breadstick Beach, finished 9-9 and 3-5 in the league. The Eagles will be the No. 4 seed in the event and play No. 5 Eastern Illinois to open the tournament Thursday at Noon ET.
Against the Govs, No. 1 pair Olivia Lohmeier and Allison Whiten sealed the win. Leading 2-1 already, the pair defeated their foes 21-19, 21-19 to ice the victory.
