Morehead State Winter Soccer Program Scheduled for Dec. 11

Morehead State Athletics

Morehead State will host its annual winter soccer program on Sunday, Dec. 11 at Jayne Stadium.

"This is a great recruiting tool for our university," said Eagles head soccer coach Warren Lipka. "We're able to get student-athletes on campus, train them, and allow them to see the facilities of Morehead State. This is something we look highly on every time we do these camps."

The one-day event - known officially as Warren Lipka's Girls' Soccer Elite College ID Camp - will allow prospective collegiate athletes to showcase their abilities to the Morehead State coaching staff. It also provides a chance for players to experience a taste of the tactical, technical, physical, and psychological facets of NCAA Division I soccer.

The camp will be directed by Lipka, who is coming off his eighth season at Morehead State. In 25 years as a Division I head coach, Lipka has compiled a 252-212-51 record. He was named Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 2009, 2010, and 2013. He also received Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year honors in 1995, 1999, and 2006. Eagles assistant coach Trip Rogers will serve as the camp's assistant director.

The camp is scheduled to last from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost will be $125 per person. For more information, contact Lipka at w.lipka@moreheadstate.edu.
