Our library history and genealogy programming promotes an awareness of and interest in local heritage. Cindy's presentations are different every month, covering a wide variety of topics, and we often welcome special guests! Intended for ages 18+.
September's program (Preserving Your Heritage: DNA Adventures) will be a roundtable discussion on genetic genealogy, more commonly known as genetic ancestry testing. Everyone is invited to share the experiences, challenges, and discoveries you've had in your own personal journey with genetic genealogy—or if you're just curious about the topic, to come and ask any questions you may have and learn about how it works and what it could mean for you! Participants will also be entered for a chance to win an AncestryDNA® testing kit.

On the First Saturday of each month, EAA Chapter 1525 will host a Pancake breakfast. Enjoy pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee and more for $5.00
Breakfast will be served from 8:00 am to 10:30 am.
Profits will be used to provide flight training, education and scholarship opportunities for members and community. EAA 1525 also raises money to provide flights for individuals 8-17 through the Young Eagles flight program.

Join us on the lawn of the Arts Center on April 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to shop for locally produced food, arts and crafts. Kids can create masterpieces on the easel while you shop, visit with friends and enjoy live music by local musicians.
Having a booth at the Maker's Market is easy! All you need to do is fill out an application, meet the qualifications and pay your booth fee. To qualify, all items for sale must be locally produced food, arts or crafts items. No used or yard sale items.

Morehead's first metaphysical fair will be held on April 13th (11am-6pm) & 14th (11am-4pm), 2024.
Crystals, herbs, and hand-crafted products will be available for purchases as well as sessions with a variety of psychics. Follow this page to preview all the great readers and vendors you will see at this event.
Admission will be $5 or $3 with a non-perishable food donation. Admission covers both days. Donations will go to Morehead-Gateway Helping Hands.
