MSU closed for winter break

Morehead State University

Morehead State University will be closed Friday, Dec. 20, through Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, for winter break. Classes will not meet and administrative offices will not be open. Offices will reopen Thursday, Jan. 2. 

The University Post Office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on Dec. 23, Dec. 27 and Dec. 30. The post office will be closed for the rest of the break. 

The Camden-Carroll Library will be closed for the duration of winter break.  

The University Store will be closed for the duration of the break and will reopen with regular business hours on Thursday, Jan. 2.  

The Recreation and Wellness Center will be closed for winter break beginning on Saturday, Dec. 21. 

The Kentucky Folk Art Center (KFAC) will be closed for winter break. Regular hours will resume Thursday, Jan. 2. 

The spring semester at MSU will begin Monday, Jan. 13, 2020. 

The MSU Police Department is available 24/7 throughout the holiday break. They can be reached at police@moreheadstate.edu, by calling 606-783-2035 or via the LiveSafe app on your smartphone.

Paul Hitchcock earned his Masters in Communications from Morehead State University and Bachelors in Radio-TV/Psychology from Georgetown College. A veteran broadcaster for more than 40 years and an avid fan of blues, jazz and American roots music. Hitchcock has been with WMKY since 1986 and was named General Manager in 2003. He currently hosts "Muddy Bottom Blues" (Fri., 8pm-9pm), "Nothin' But The Blues" (Sat., 8pm-12am), "Sunday Night Jazz Showcase" and "Live From The Jazz Lounge" (Sun., 8pm-9pm) and "The Golden Age of Radio" (Sun., 2pm-3pm). He also serves as producer for "A Time For Tales" and "The Reader's Notebook."
