Wednesday, March 16, 2016 -- Senator Mitch McConnell says he has not changed his position on letting the next President fill a vacancy on the Supreme Court. Rowan Judge Executive Walter Blevins says there will likely be an increase in the county’s payroll tax…and Democratic Congressman John Yarmuth says the proposed House Republican budget for next year keeps tax breaks that benefit the wealthy and encourages businesses to move jobs overseas.

Thursday, March 17, 2016 -- Morehead State University President Wayne Andrews is voicing support for the budget passed Wednesday by the Kentucky House. A pair of bills related to Kentucky’s health insurance exchange touched off heated debate this afternoon in the House Health and Welfare Committee…and Republican Congressman Hal Rogers claims President Obama’s proposed Fiscal 2017 budget would add to a sea of red ink.

Friday, March 18, 2016 -- For the first time in its history, less than 60 percent of the students enrolled at Morehead State University are from the school’s eastern Kentucky service region. The head of Kentucky Voices for Health says the federal Affordable Care Act and Kynect have succeeded in reducing visits to hospital emergency rooms…and the Chief Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court is unhappy with the budget passed Tuesday by the House of Representatives.

    

Greg Jenkins has been the Operations Director at MSPR since 1999. Greg is a 1996 graduate of Morehead State University with a BME in Music Education and received a Masters of Science in Industrial Technology in 2008. Greg oversees training, scheduling, and evaluation of the student board operator staff, preparation of the daily traffic logs and serves as weekday classical music host. He is also the webmaster of the MSPR website and maintains MSPR's webstreaming and podcasting.
